Site Maintenance

User Roles

The management and maintenance of a SharePoint site requires several different types of users with varying levels of responsibility and permission. When creating, editing, and managing your agency site, users are organized into three different roles: author, reviewer or approver.

Header Footer Changes

Header/Footer Changes

Websites are fluid in nature and header and footer updates are common. Content authors and approvers will not be able to make these changes directly. Learn more about how to submit updates for changes found on the master pages of the site.

Logging In

Logging In

You will need your Accounts domain ID (IAM) and password. We also recommend using Chrome or FireFox when editing in SharePoint.

Save Your Work

Save Your Work

You can save your work without checking the document back in. This will allow you to close your browser window and return later to continue editing. Your changes will only be viewable by you, however, until the file is checked in. To save your work, select the Save button from the Pages tab. This will save your work and exit edit mode.
